ICADS STUDENTS

Describing an ICADS student.
ICADS as an institution works hard to create a progressive environment of comfort and acceptance for all students, staff, and faculty. We support national and international environmental organizations, human and animal rights groups, women's groups, anti-hunger groups, and other organizations that we feel reflect our institutional values. ICADS is a place where students of any color, country, age, religion or sexual preference can feel at home.
Students who choose to participate in ICADS programs are those who wish to contribute their labor, energy and expertise to help further the goals of oppressed groups and social justice organizations in Costa Rica and/or Nicaragua. Through their dedication to learning and sharing, students give themselves the opportunity to "try out" international career opportunities in areas such as public health, environmental studies, education, agriculture, and human rights.
“Students have told me time and time again that ICADS changed their lives, that it was the most important thing they ever did.”
Peter Rosset, Ph.D.
Visiting Scholar at the Environmental Science, Policy and Management Department
