More of what people say about us...

I really enjoyed it and I know I learned a lot of Spanish. So much so that my English is suffering in this evaluation! The activities were wonderful and I loved the staff. Thank you!”
Phaela Peck, Spanish Program, January 2006

“It worked out wonderfully and I learned so much, whether it be Spanish, the Costa Rican culture, or socio-economic systems of Latin America.”
Kelly Dowdall, Spanish Program, January 2006

“All four of my professors were amazing. I learned so much in the mere four-weeks I attended ICADS. Having no previous Spanish background I am amazed with how much I now know.”
Jennifer Lamy, Spanish Program, January 2006

“I really appreciated the atmosphere at ICADS and felt welcome in the comfortable ‘home’ type setting – not so much like a school/institution – more conducive to learning for me. Thank you! On a larger theme, I believe part of what you all are doing here is helping to save the world by changing it in powerful consistent ways!”
Sherrad Barton, Spanish Program, January 2006

“On a whole, very impressed with the environment, philosophy, quality of teaching, staff and experience.”
Anne Funderburk, Spanish Program, January 2006

“It was a great structured program that encouraged the learning of the Spanish language and learning the Costa Rican culture.”
Spanish Program student, January 2006

“It allowed me to take an outside look at American culture from the perspective of a developing country. I had traveled before but this was unique.”
Kevin Lawrence, Spanish Program, January 2006

“Going to the squatter settlement, building beds, making food for all those children really contrasts the reality of my life to theirs and it’s the truth as to how people have to live.”
Jenny Dupre, Spanish Program, January 2006

“Over all it is really fantastic program and the classes are taught really well for people at every level”.
Erin Miles-July 2006

“My Spanish has improved so much because of this program. I am so impressed with the quality of the staff and professors here."
Carol Scrievener-July 2006

“As a student who had never taken Spanish before, I feel like I really learned a lot”.
Elisha Smith-August 2006

“Anybody who wants to not only learn the language, but also learn about Costa Rica, should participate in ICADS”.
Emily Dorn-August 2006

“I was systematically impressed by the professionalism, the dedication and the open-minded, enthusiastic approach the staff and teachers had about just basically nice people who get involved with their students and really want to see them improve. Four hours of Spanish a day is a minimum. You are encouraged to do everything in Spanish, which gives real meaning to total immersion.
Caroline Auzier-Agust 2006

“The staff at ICADS served as family away from home providing no only as education, but also compassion, support and encouragement”.
Maureen Lefere-January 2007

“I think it is a b program with it´s great student teacher ratio, enthusiastic effective teachers, and activities”.
Alice James-January 2007

“I would definitely recommend this program because it is so well rounded. The activities were all interesting and fun and the teachers and staff were enthusiastic and helpful”.
Madeline James- January 2007
